Candle Care

NYVOSE sculptural candles are designed to be enjoyed as decorative objects and may also be burned when used with appropriate care.

Before lighting

• Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant dish or vessel that is large enough to catch melting wax.
• A NYVOSE stainless steel candle plate offers a coordinated display option, but any appropriately sized heat-resistant vessel may be used.
• Trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before lighting.

While burning

• Keep the candle centered on the dish and away from drafts, flammable materials, children and pets.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Do not move the candle, dish or melted wax while hot.

After use

Extinguish the flame if it becomes unusually high, repeatedly flickers, approaches the base, or the vessel becomes excessively hot. Allow the candle, wax and vessel to cool completely before handling.

Because every piece is individually hand-poured, small variations in color, finish and surface detail are part of its character.
